

Wreaths Across America
Wreaths Across America is a non-profit organization that remembers fallen U. S. veterans by coordinating the annual placement of wreaths on their graves. Each year, the wreaths travel in a convoy from Maine to Arlington National Cemetery. This year, the group has chosen to stop in Wallingford, as their only public appearance in Connecticut.
A police escorted convoy of approximately 15 tractor trailers with approximately 50 support vehicles will exit I-91, then travel on Rte 68 to Rte 5. The convoy will proceed east on Center St, then south on South Main St to Town Hall where a ceremony will be held. The convoy will exit via South Main, Rte 5 and the Wharton Brook Connector.
South Main Street will be closed, south of Center St.
