Commemorates the first act that launched Connecticut into the Revolutionary War. The actions of the Second Company Governor’s guard lead by then patriot leader Captain Benedict Arnold demanded access to the black powder from New Haven’s Powder House in order to march to support Massachusetts after the victorious first battle of Lexington & Concord.
