City of New Haven Veterans Day Ceremony, 2025

NEW HAVEN, CONN. —The 2025 City of New Haven Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at New Haven City Hall (165 Church St, New Haven, CT 06510) on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. All residents and the public are invited to attend this free event.
Lt. Col. Alison Weir (Ret), executive director of the Connecticut Veterans Legal Center is the principal speaker. Conductor Jillian Emerson will lead Music Haven’s Harmony In Action Orchestra and the East Haven based, Connecticut Minuteman Composite Squadron from the Civil Air Patrol lead by Major Carlos Vega will be the color guard. Soloist Ruth Rosa will sing the National Anthem and Peter Cannon will perform “Taps.”
Following the ceremony at City Hall, commemorative wreaths will be placed at the World War Memorial on the Green and at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Long Wharf Drive.
