DESCRIPTION:Wreaths Across America \n\nWreaths Across America is a non-profit organization that remembers fallen U. S. veterans by coordinating the annual placement of wreaths on their graves. Each year\, the wreaths travel in a convoy from Maine to Arlington National Cemetery. This year\, the group has chosen to stop in Wallingford\, as their only public appearance in Connecticut. \n\nNational Wreaths Across America Day is just around the corner on December 13\, 2025 at 12:00 pm at State Veterans Cemetery Middletown Connecticut. \n\nA police escorted convoy of approximately 15 tractor trailers with approximately 50 support vehicles will exit I-91\, then travel on Rte 68 to Rte 5. The convoy will proceed east on Center St\, then south on South Main St to Town Hall where a ceremony will be held. The convoy will exit via South Main\, Rte 5 and the Wharton Brook Connector. \nSouth Main Street will be closed\, south of Center St. \nEastbound Center Street will be closed between Rte 5 and South Main.
