DESCRIPTION:Veterans and a guest are invited to a FREE breakfast on Veterans Day.\nRSVP on Eventbrite (https://VeteranSOSBreakfast.eventbrite.com).\n🇺🇲 HONORING ALL WHO SERVED: Veterans\, service members\, and cadets may get a free serving of coffee\, home fries\, and SOS over biscuit or sausage patty at the Trinity Bar & Restaurant from 9 to 10:30 a.m. (157 Orange St. New Haven) on November 11\, 2025. \nSponsored by Trinity and organized by the VFW New Haven Post 12150 and the American Legion New Haven Post 210\, the SOS breakfast will honor our military veterans by offering them a serving of the popular military breakfast staple–free of charge. \nCelebrated Trinity Chef and Co-Owner Shane Carty\, Master Sgt. Frank Alvarado (Ret) and Master Sgt. Cliff Potter (Ret)\, will prepare and serve the SOS gravy based on the 1942 edition of The Army Cook (TM 10-405). \nThe breakfast is open to military veterans\, current service members\, and cadets (including UNH\, Yale\, Hillhouse High School JROTC\, and Civil Air Patrol Connecticut Minuteman Composite Squadron) and one guest. \nAdditionally\, veterans and citizens are invited to attend the City of New Haven Veterans Day Ceremonies at 11:00 a.m. at New Haven City Hall (165 Church St\, New Haven\, CT 06510) with a subsequent wreath-laying ceremony at the Great War Flagpole on the Green.

DESCRIPTION:NEW HAVEN\, CONN. —The 2025 City of New Haven Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at New Haven City Hall (165 Church St\, New Haven\, CT 06510) on Tuesday\, November 11\, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. All residents and the public are invited to attend this free event.\n\nLt. Col. Alison Weir (Ret)\, executive director of the Connecticut Veterans Legal Center is the principal speaker. Conductor Jillian Emerson will lead Music Haven’s Harmony In Action Orchestra and the East Haven based\, Connecticut Minuteman Composite Squadron from the Civil Air Patrol lead by Major Carlos Vega will be the color guard. Soloist Ruth Rosa will sing the National Anthem and Peter Cannon will perform “Taps.”\n\nFollowing the ceremony at City Hall\, commemorative wreaths will be placed at the World War Memorial on the Green and at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Long Wharf Drive.
