Hospitalized Veterans

If you want to conduct a program, please contact Michael Rose at: 203-932-5711 Ext. 2204

Full-time volunteers are needed for a minimum of four a month. Please call the office at 203-937-3814 

We also need funds to purchase subscriptions for various services. 

Veterans Volunteers in service for veterans in the VA System. 

Volunteers are the ones who keep the VA System going smoothly. What we need most are regular scheduled volunteers.

These areas are what the volunteer needs are continuous:

1.      Volunteers Drivers, Must be certified under DOT

2.      Friendly visitors

3.      Clerical, in many areas

4.      Mail Room

5.      Nursing Services

6.      Escort

7.      Discharge waiting room 

If you are interested and have the time, you only need to volunteer four hours per month.

Both facilities in Connecticut have needs: these needs are also at the Community Care Units (CBOC) as well as Veterans Centers.

1.      Magazines and newspapers (Subscriptions)

2.      Art Supplies

3.      Beverage and associated supplies

4.      Internet fees

5.      Canteen books

6.      Gift certificates

7.      Small appliances Community Care Center
